I have had this dress for a while. I love the long slit down the side and I think the pastel patterns is kind of unusual, but it feels too dressy for every day, so I’ve been wearing it with this t-shirt over the top! I’m also still wearing my new Kate Moss Rimmel purple lipstick, although food and this lipstick do not go well together. I have a feeling my purple / dark red lipstick collection might grow over the next few months – I love wearing a super dark lipstick with an otherwise quite girly outfit.
Isn’t my necklace cute? I bought it at The Vagabond Bazaar in York last summer – unfortunately I’m struggling to find out the name of the company that I bought it from. I love the length, and I’d love to get some more necklaces so that I can start layering them – I’ve been eyeing up some of the pendants on the WAISTE website!

I couldn’t help but include this photos of Archie. It’s a special day when he stays still for long enough to have his photo taken. Hanging out with this bunny is one of the best parts of my day ❤
I hope your week is off to a good start!
I must be mentally preparing for autumn without even realising it – this outfit is so witchy! My dark lipstick also reminds me of autumn / winter in the 90s. Even the leaves on the ground are looking a little orangey, so maybe summer is coming to an end. I took these photos with my brother on a walk along the river in our village. Living at home is not always ideal (I miss living in the same house as all of my friends!) but having all this countryside on my doorstep is definitely one of the perks.
In retrospect, maybe I shouldn’t have worn socks with my cut-out boots, but socks are just so comfy! There’s something that seems wrong to me about wearing boots with no socks, although I’m warming to the idea. I’ve also been pinning my hair up in this new way where I tie it up into a ponytail and then pin the hair coming out of my ponytail down in sections. It’s probably my favourite way of keeping my hair out of my face!

This last picture is of me making friends with the tree. I love trees! I had my first ever phone interview today, which was nerve-wracking, but at least now I’ve had the experience! I realise there might be many more of these in the future before I find myself a job, but I really want this one so fingers crossed. I hope you’re having a fantastic week 🙂
I have some serious love for bed jackets. Or are they called house coats? Whichever, they’re so long and floaty, they make me feel like a fairy and they are a perfect summer layer. They can be hard to wear though. I paired my bed jacket with this Topshop denim top and this charity shop pencil skirt. What do you think?
Mint must be one of my favourite colours for clothes. A couple of summers ago I was obsessed with everything “ice cream” coloured – mint, lavender and lemon yellow – and I’m still not bored of wearing mint.
My boots are from All Saints. I’ve had them for ages, and I’m trying to keep them going for as long as possible. All of my shoes are falling apart at the moment!
The photos above were taken in the Treasurers House in York. The building is covered in these beautiful flowers, and we had a good time walking around – it’s fun being a tourist in your own city sometimes! The below photos were taken in the Minster gardens. I really will miss the Minster when I’ve left York, it’s such a lovely building to be greeted by every time you walk into town.
My task for this week is to work out how I’m going to get all my things back to my parent’s house. I can be a bit of a horder, and I have managed to amass a lot of stuff in the past three years. Wish me luck!
Hello everyone! This outfit was inspired by my super colourful coat. I bought it from a vintage shop in Amsterdam. The colours are great, they remind me of the colours on clown costumes. Although I love it, it’s quite hard to wear because it’s too thin to be a cold weather coat, and being so very British, I take every ray of sunshine as an excuse to take all of my clothes off (well, maybe not all of them, but I’m always underdressed in summer.) Because I don’t get enough wear out of it, I’m going to vow to wear it more this summer. I think it looks great with white, and this way I can wear my white slip as a dress and not feel too much like I’m walking around in my pyjamas. My white slip is vintage, from the Beyond Retro on Brick Lane. Slips are such a wardrobe staple, nothing makes me feeel better than a slinky vintage slip. My boots are from Topshop.
Here’s a close up of my hair scarf, it’s such an easy way to wear more colour! The more colour the better, that’s what I say.
I hope you’re having a wonderful week. I’m bogged down with work at the moment, so I’m spending my time dreaming of Paris, lying on the beach with my girlfriends, sunny bike rides with ginger beer, movie days and nights out. Here’s to post – deadline freedom!
